Mars

Mars is a series of images taken in Antelope Canyon, Arizona. It depicts an otherworldly experience that challenges the viewer's sense of time and place. 

I shot this series shortly after the death of my father. The images reflect the sense of somber curiosity with which I found myself absorbing the world. I remember feeling as though I needed to embark upon new territory and new ground in his name – to the places I knew he had wanted to experience himself – and take it in with supremely willing eyes. 

I dedicate this journey to Mars in his name.
